Building Help --> DoubleDare Dueling Coaster
DoubleDare Dueling Coaster
Updates to Instructions
Page 5, Steps 3 & 4 - Note that the blue micro rods will bow in slightly when the red standard rod is attached between them. This is normal and will not affect coaster function.
Page 8, Step 8 - The instructions shows the wrong orientation of the dark gray micro connector. The mistake is on the 2nd tier of the tower, at the back left.
General Building Tips
Assembling the track - Be sure to read the track tips on Page 23 before assembling the track. The connectors should always be attached to the underside of the track pieces and snap into place. Parts will attach on the wrong side but will not snap in place and will come apart with the slightest application of pressure. Press hard to attach connectors.
Attaching the track sections - Be sure to orient the pieces correctly according to the instructions. If you have difficulty attaching one side, attach the next section to it first and then go back and attach the previous piece to the understructure. There is an example on Page 33.
Micro rods and connectors - Adding the orange micro rods throughout the model can be confusing. Be sure to follow the number pattern when adding the orange micro rods. It is also important to closely follow the orientation of the dark gray and dark blue micro connectors.
Building Questions
How do I make my coaster more stable?
ANSWER: To reveal any loose connections, with a flat palm, apply gentle pressure to the top of each large section of the coaster. This should make the coaster feel firm. If not, review instructions pages to check for any missing connections.
How do I keep the cars moving around the whole track?
ANSWER: If your car is not going around the whole track, run the car through the track a few times to determine where it is stopping. Check carefully to see if it is hitting any K'NEX pieces, and then reposition those pieces until the car runs smoothly over that spot.
